rain, rain - don't go away

it's dumping rain today here in the bay area and while we certainly could use a good dousing, it made for a terrible commute to work this morning - and it made me want to turn around and go home and climb back into bed. but i have a very busy week so there's no time to think about taking it easy.

i helped A. move from one sublet to another on saturday afternoon. luckily, it didn't rain that day and the move was a breeze. after i helped her with her things, we headed back to my place so we could watch the dvd rental i had picked up earlier of Pedro Almodóvar's film, Bad Education. we spent the day hanging out and it was nice as it always is - no doubt, we get along great - and so i'm just trying to go along for the ride. we had dinner at my local neighborhood pizza place that i love so dearly that i don't want to mention its name in fear other people will found out and then i'll never get a seat as it's already tough to get one as it is.

the weekend flew by - and yesterday it rained heavily but it was so nice to listen to the rain hit the windows...sitting in my living room, drinking coffee and reading. i know rain makes getting around more difficult and in some cases, a bit dangerous (ahem - people, slow down on those roads!) but we need it badly...this is a crazy, long drought so keep raining!
